Your Role

We are looking for someone who wants a free and responsible job where you plan your own day. You enjoy working operationally and having a lot of customer contact.

Your responsibility as a quality engineer means that you will work in a role referred to as certifying staff, which is an important and responsible role within our production permit. You have the sole responsibility to approve aerospace products produced within the framework of our approved military production organization. Before delivery to the customer, you issue and sign a delivery certificate that enables our customers to receive our deliveries. You will have close cooperation with the dispatch control and maintain contact with our customers.

Another important part of your responsibility will be to contribute to the continued development of the role's working methods from a quality assurance and improvement perspective.

You will belong to a section within Quality Assurance with 13 employees, where collaboration and shared drive are key to success.

The section's other responsibilities include acting as production support and quality support for the production of Gripen in Brazil, driving quality investigations that often lead to rechecks and improvement tasks, conducting internal audits, and handling deviations in inventory. The expectation is that after a while you can contribute within one of these areas of responsibility as well.

The position is based in Linköping and some travel may occur.

Some of your tasks:

• Check physical items, documentation, and information about the item
• Establish that the item is part of an aircraft type that falls within the approved production organization's scope of work
• Release items via delivery certificate SE-EMAR Form 1 that you issue and sign

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we see that you have a very good habit of working both independently and in collaboration with others. In your work, you are meticulous and analytical, focusing on both details and the big picture. As a person, we also see that you have a high level of integrity and curiosity to develop and improve the business.

In addition to the above personal qualities, we would like you to have:

• You are fundamentally a high school or university engineer, or have work experience in production
• You have previous experience working within an approved production or maintenance organization in the aviation industry
• You have previous experience in product inspection
• You have previous experience reading technical documents and drawings
• You have good IT skills and are comfortable working in various IT systems
• You have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
